Terms & Conditions


1.1 All Interflora Products listed within The Collection (as may be varied from time to time) are available almost everywhere in the UK, Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland but in respect of orders for outside the UK, Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland the selection may be limited to only those Interflora Products that are specified as being available for delivery in your chosen country. 

1.2 Interflora Products may be delivered in bud to ensure longer life. Some Interflora Products may be harmful or poisonous - please contact our Customer Services if you require further information before submitting an order. 

1.3 All Interflora Products are subject to availability. In the event of any supply difficulties, we reserve the right to substitute an Interflora Product of equivalent value and quality without notice. 

1.4 In the event that we are unable to supply the Interflora Product or any substitute product to you at all, we shall notify you as soon as is reasonably possible and shall reimburse your payment in full and in any event no later than 30 days after the intended delivery date. 


2.1 A local delivery charge of Next day delivery of £6.00 will be charged to your order for deliveries within a fifteen mile radius of our shop. Same Day Delivery charge of £8.00 to recipients in the UK is normally possible on all flower orders received by us no later than 2.00 pm (GMT). Flower deliveries will not normally be made on a Sunday or on UK public holidays. Please contact us first, prior to placing any order required at these times to possibly make a special delivery.

All products are subject to availability.


3.1 Prices listed within the Interflora Service are valid for at least 14 days. 

3.2 Prices include VAT for deliveries within the UK, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands and Interflora Delivery. For those deliveries outside the UK, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands, prices include VAT. The current charges for Interflora Delivery and International Delivery respectively are £4.50 and £6.99. 


4.1 As soon as we receive your submitted order we will send an e-mail confirming your order details and advising you that your order is being processed. 

4.2 Orders cannot be accepted from customers under the age of eighteen (18) years. 


5.1 Orders may be amended or cancelled up to 24 hours before the intended delivery date for UK, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands and 48 hours outside UK, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands prior to the intended delivery date.

5.3 In the event that you are not satisfied with the Interflora Service any complaints should be addressed in the first instance to complaints@thedesignelement.co.uk


6.1 Whilst we agree to use our reasonable endeavours to ensure that the The Design Element site is fully operational and error-free we cannot guarantee this and therefore accept no responsibility for any defects and/or interruption of the The Design Element site and/or the Interflora Service and shall be released from our obligations under these Terms and Conditions in the event of any cause beyond our reasonable control which renders the provision of the The Design Element site and/or the Interflora Service impossible or impractical. 

6.2 We exclude, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, and save in respect of death or personal injury arising from our negligence, all liability of any claims, losses, demands and damages arising directly or indirectly out of or in any way connected with your use or inability to access The Design Element site and/or the Interflora Service. This exclusion shall apply in respect of, without limitation, any costs, loss of profits, loss of contracts or business opportunity, loss of data and any other consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages, whether arising in contract, tort, under statute or otherwise PROVIDED THAT nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions affects or will affect the statutory rights of the customer or the recipient in relation to the quality, fitness or description of the goods supplied. 


7.1 We reserve the right to supplement and amend the Terms and Conditions on which you are permitted access to the The Design Element site and/or the Interflora Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the The Design Element site and it is your responsibility as a customer to review any changes on accessing the Interflora Service. Changes will be effective five (5) hours after the posting of any such change. 

7.2 These Terms and Conditions shall be deemed to include all other notices, policies, disclaimers and other terms contained in The Design Element site, provided that in the event of a conflict between any such other notices, policies, disclaimers and other terms, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. If any of these Terms and Conditions are held to be invalid or enforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. 

7.3 We shall ensure that we comply with the requirement of all current data protection legislation including, without limitation, the Data Protection Act 1998 (as replaced, modified or re-enacted from time to time). We shall only use personal data received from you for the purpose of fulfilling our obligations under these Terms and Conditions. 

7.4 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
